Durham Auto Repair

We live down the block from Northgate Auto and gave them a try after another Durham mechanic over-tightened my Scion's serpentine belt. They took a look and fixed it FOR FREE! Needless to say, I've taken all my business to them since, for the last 3 years we've lived in Durham. The front desk is ALWAYS friendly and lighthearted, quick, and efficient. My one brief conversation with a mechanic was very courteous and also efficient. Not one hint of disrespect for being someone who knows less about cars! I can't recommend them enough! We are moving out of state soon and very sad we can't pick them up and take them with us. :( Prices are always reasonable too!

I've been using Northgate Auto Service for a few years now. They have always been honest, and helpful. Always good price. I recently went for the first time since COVID. It was great. Dropped key off, talked about what was wrong with the car, paid over the phone, and picked it back up. Very sanitary process.

Love this place! I feel like they are honest about what needs to be done, and, more importantly, what doesn't need to be done to my fairly new car. I also think they are very reasonably priced.

I consistently have a good experience at Northgate Auto. I made a 10:30 appointment to have my oil changed, air added to my tires, and an overall check of my vehicle before a road trip. They took my car back immediately, and I was checked out and on my way in 30 minutes. The staff is very friendly.

I have been taking my car to Northgate Auto for about 3 years now. Today, I went in to ask for an oil change and an inspection. They informed me that even though my oil change was scheduled for April, they didn't think I needed it since it was 3K miles from a new oil change. That gives you an sense of the integrity these guys have. You can trust them to only do work on your car that you need. I highly recommend them for all of your car maintenance and repairs in the Durham area.
