Durham Auto Repair

Went in with my check engine light on that's been on for a year, came out with it off. AND it passed inspection. Customer service was AWESOME. Being that I'm a female, most auto shops will try to take advantage of you bc they *think* you don't know much. However, this was not the case here. Tony and the receptionist were very manner-able, and knowledgeable. I will definitely be back if needed!!!

Excellent, fast service on my recent annual NC inspection.

Been doing business at Northgate for many years. Our last visit was the 29th of May. Took our son's car in for an oil change and a tire repair. As always they checked the car for anything else that could be wrong, including all fluids topped off. This is the best, by far, of any car repair business in Durham. I called 5 or 6 different auto shops looking for someone who could help me with my HGR valve. I had just moved to Durham, and did not know anything. Every place I called told me that my valve would need to be replaced as well as other wiring and it would cost at $250. I continued to call around, just to see if that was the best price. When I called Northgate Auto, I was told by Mike, the owner, that most of the time HGR valves don't need to be replaced, only cleaned and it would only cost $80. He then proceeded to tell me that the other places were trying to rip me off and he didn't understand why, when treating customers fairly gets them to come back. I haven't used another mechanic since.

Northgate Auto is great. Problems with my vehicle are always fixed in a timely and inexpensive manner. They are very customer oriented and are willing to work with you. I'm very happy to have a mechanic I can trust.
